For women warriors
Underheard stories of rocking in the face of misogyny
In spaces with faces that probably objectify your body
Before really seeing you or hearing you
Ciphers everyday with all these dudes glaring
Aggressively and their not caring
All for the people, but stages their not sharing
In all fairness, you can′t say it ain't true
To rep in hip-hop, women got more walls to break through
And in in my walks I′ve met more then a few
Who rip microphones with wisdom, the soul and the truth
And many of these sisters that I highly look up to
They can't get to doors that I easily walk through
The sexism is just too inherent, all day in and day out
And some think it's way out
To hear a brother speak about these issues on a song
Well they′re wrong for thinking that at all
Because what hurts a woman is really hurting us all

I′m not saying get a girl to tokenize in your crew
Or do one show in your life where you invite women through
I mean this might be a start for you, but don't end it there
If you got love for your momma you could at least try to care
There′s so many raps classified as conscious out there
A label people get no matter what they share
It's incense and headwraps they wear
No different than the pimps and the players
Just another trend
I don′t want to ever fit in with them
I just want it all to end
The greed, homophobia and sexism
And an end to the fear of just questioning
Ourselves when our words don't match with our actions
I want to change what it means to be masculine
And see hip-hop grow to raise strong women
Little girls can rip mics with the best of ′em
