Fantasy Camp Songtext

Fantasy Camp Songtext
Three years ago, I had the chance to be cool
For my birthday, my wife bought me a fantasy camp
Yeah, apparently our definition of the word fantasy is different
She′s thinking baseball, well, l'm thinking three chicks, but hey, honest mistake
But she knows I love baseball
Now, we live on the West Coast, so she bought me an angel baseball
Fantasy camp for four days, y′all, I played ball with guys like Bob Boone
Douglas Sensei, Brian Downey, Clyde Wright, I was like a little kid
Fast-forward now, opening day, Angel Stadium
I'm standing with a bunch of guys I met at the camp
At the bar at the park, and my wife's standing right there
And one of the guys goes, hey, man
I was just downstairs, and Rawlings Bats is here
And for 60 bucks, you can get a bat with your name lasered
In the barrel like the pros, I was like, "Ooh", I′m going to get me a bat
And my wife goes, why don′t you just wait for your Father's Day
Birthday or something like that? And I′m thinking
I'll buy you fancy cars and jewelry
And you′re busting my chops about a 60 dollar bat?
Remember, I said I was thinking that
Yeah, I'd like to see these again
Because, ladies, what I don′t know is she's already bought me a bat
But I'm being a jackass, she goes, you want another beer?
I′m like, I don′t know, they're like six bucks
Hope we can afford it, huh, huh, huh, huh
Better scrape that cheese off them napkins
And nachos are like eight dollars, huh, huh, huh
Oh, she′s feeding me rope, and I'm just like, "La, la, la, la
17 in comes, we′re sitting in our skis
Here comes Clyde Wright, a good no-hitter with the Angelo the Bat
And he goes, hey, Bill, this is from your wife and me, good luck
Think I'll take that beer now
Maybe with a shot of Jackass
This bat is gorgeous
I look at the barrel and it says, "Bill"
And in quotations it says, "A-hole involved"
For my birthday, my wife bought me a fantasy camp
