Another call in the middle of the night saying "go to sleep everything is alright"
And "don′t you worry about tomorrow, got everything that you need right now"

What seems a bad day, now think it over
Cause you can start it over whenever you want
If you got problems, then turn it over
Cause their's a place for them in the Hands of God


And i used to think that there is no way that that could ever happen to me
So i just kept on drinking, I was going to go ahead and go on out that a way. And the next
Thing you know I threw up my hands in the air and I said that′s it
And I walked off the floor and I went to my motel room, and I haven't had a drink since
I came to meetings for about six months here at York street
I sobered up right back in that back corner
And for about six months I would share that story and I still didn't know what happened
And somebody got a hold of me and said "let me show you what happened"
And they opened up the big book, and it says in there
God will do for you what you can′t do for yourself

I got your message, and now i′m trying to forget, i've been a mess all day, say it again
Don′t you listen to what your head says, you know that none of it ever comes to pass
