Intro to Nobody Knows the Bradley I Know Songtext

Nobody knows the Bradley I know
Crystal light in the eye and that grin just on the edge of a smile
Conversations in between the notes, the smoke and the passersby
They hover close to the table in hopes of snatching some words
Bradley enters from the back and comes to join us
Who knew this would be history?

I can still taste the side dishes
Hear the basses and pianos in one accumulated symphony
The boost of energy as the second wave of musicians enter
After leaving their own last set
The kind of chatter you don′t mind hearing when you're making music
Bradley let a few words of honesty slip, and the laughter overflows
Those were some deep jazz moments
Ones we swore an oath to never reveal to those outside those doors
Should′ve put that in writing for some of them-

Yeah, nobody knows the Bradley I know
And I ain't telling
