Upon my waking head
Speaks a brightly halo lightly
That I see on my head
The same four seasons claim to be
An announcement meant we′ll see
Up above among a rafter
Hung a hungry tablecloth

How green I was
I forgot that I was sleeping
Say goodnight to the rider
In a moment of laughing


The quiet choir hums
But the hour flies discreetly
Saving time in little piles
When at last they leave the track
Will the second alto sing?
Not a truck was there to find her
And a train had long since passed

How green I was
I forgot that time depleted - I'll interject
To wave goodbye at the river
To a boat in my jacket

I have nothing to buy
My time in a pile
I′ve gotten this far
I've gotten to this part

How green I was
I forgot to sing along
Not another word
