On & On Songtext

On & On Songtext

Upon arrival at the party
Seems it hadn′t really started
Only a few people were there
I made a drink and then another
Cause I was feeling pretty awkward
Maybe I just needed fresh air

Then the people started showing
The cacophony was growing
The neon lights were glowing in the humid air
You handed me a Tesla
Said someone needs to test them
You downed yours with a seltzer and threw back your hair

It goes on and on and on and on

All the lonely people
Made banter like the seagulls
Flying round in a parking lot fair
The DJ was redlining
But no one seemed to mind it
The neighbors called but none were aware

Then the people started running
Their bags they started dumping
The cherry lights were pulsing in the humid air
But I guess I didn't mind it
Cause I′ve always been in hiding
I heard your voice call down from the stairs

The party goers stood like terracotta warriors
In the master bedroom
The host yelled out, to smoke it if you got it y'all
Cause the world's ending soon
The cops came up, they had blocked all the doors
Except the bathroom we were hiding in
You opened the window, we were up two floors
And said babe it′s time to spread your wings

It goes on and on and on and on
