Darkness swamps the sky
As the man begins to speak
There′s evil in the air
And the land begins to reek
Doom will follow my footsteps
Wherever they may lay
A dark age is upon you
And it's me you will obey

Many years of biding time
Hidden low in rest
Seeking powers of darkness
To uphold his evil quest
Those who dared defy their Lord
Were quickly put to death
No-one could conceive the power
That lay beneath his breast


A challenge was sent out near and far
For those who were against
To meet the Dark Lord in his tower
Behind the blinding strench
Many came but none could pass
The evil tower gate
Before it stood a dragon
The son of death and hate

Lo, it was written in ancient lore
A dark age would appear
But this reign of terror would not last
While fearless men were born here

There came a grey old man
Before the iron gate
The dragon gave a laugh
The Earth around did shake
You can pass me without fear
Your life I will not take
Just keep the pathway to the tower
My Lord there lies in wait


The Dark Lord seeing the old man
Did gaze into his eyes
To take the power of his soul and mind
Then leave him there to die
But the old man stood there firm and strong
His Will it would not give
He faced the Dark Lord fearlessly
Determined he would live

The Dark Lord now began to feel
His power slowly fade
The time had come to take his life
And so to end his reign
So there before the old man
He knelt down to repent
Then drew a dagger from his side
Into his heart it went

The people now began to watch
The Dark Lord fade away
They wondered of the power
That the old man had displayed
Then before the roaring crowd
A young boy stood alone
Holding out his little hand
To lead the blind man home.
