Went to the cupboard
To give the poor dog a bone
When she got there
The cupboard was bare
So the poor lil′ dog had none

The little dog sat
With his head on the mat
So hungry, he wanted to cry
But he wag his tail and he barked "Yoo-hoo!"

"Doggone!", said the little dog
That ain't the way to do

Closed up the cupboard

"If you can't get a bone
