It′s a crazy old world we're all living in
I′ve done my best to not get caught in the spin
But lately I've been talking to some internet friends
& It turns out I was confused

The truth is out there if you join the right groups
The truest truths are the ones that work for you
& If it makes you uncomfortable it's probably a myth
Besides that′s so much easier than dealing with it

Now that I′m sure I bought some stickers to prove
And I put em on my bumper 'cause I ain′t nobody's fool
I drive around town hoping my message gets through
& So everyone knows I′m not weak

I like my music without the politics
Can't do nothing these days without being reminded
That there is a world that we all have to live in
& It doesn't just revolve around me & my friends

They say people of all kinds deserve equal rights
But the people I know are 99% white
The latter are the exception to every rule
That I was made to memorize when I was going to school

Now there putting out a call up on capitol hill
I was given a ticket before the seats got filled
I can′t even recall what we came to fulfill
Maybe manifest destiny?
