Saviours Songtext

Saviours Songtext

There was once a mountain town
Its people fearful and crude
Noble rescue had been lured in
Regaled with offerings of water and food

Tragedy shall befall the bold
A tale so seldom told

Save us from the saviours
For we can′t save ourselves
Terrified of failure
At the sidelines we stand
Hunger overcame us
By sorrow we were overwhelmed
Life in the hands of strangers
Undetermined 'til the end

Clad in steel, tower above
The peons leering at their swords
Hiding women, hiding wine
In jealousy

A brigand came from the hills
Catching glimpses of his prey
Killed before causing any ills
Augur of a battle day

Let the attack commence
The villainous army arrives
Chopping off heads from horseback
Falling into spikes

Sharpened palisades of wood
A town militia wielding spears
The scheming leader satisfied
Their armour taken from the bodies of his kind

Save us from the saviours
For we can′t save ourselves
Terrified of failure
At the sidelines we stand
Hunger overcame us
By sorrow we were overwhelmed
Life in the hands of strangers
Undetermined 'til the end

Save us from the saviours
