But I′m a teenager with plenty other problems

Began to make a name, everybody wants a copy
Compress it, encrypt it, and save it to a floppy
Slack space, swap, there were more crazy tricks
I was serving up warez on a 486
Kept it all a secret, none if it pronounced
Then the ISP called and suspended our account
Couldn′t give it up, had to bypass restrictions
Yes there is a substance but it's different from addiction

I just keep screwing up
What am I doing?

My life was a wreck, almost burned to the ground
But the case was dismissed before the verdict was found
A new person now, look I turned it around
So if I made a change you can learn to be proud
Cause you got me through to high school, it wasn't a breeze
Six years in college and I finished my degrees
Shifted to the right track, kicked it into gear
Took the skills I developed and I made it a career
Average Joe Citizen, my record is clear
Benefits and wage, pay my taxes every year
I'm sorry that the gray hair will never be undone
But at least you can now just be happy for your son
