I am redeeming this guitar
By reimagining who we are
Who you are to me and who i wish to be

If i cannot be the one to hold you in my arms
I will find a way to love you as we are

Something sweet enough to heal your every scar

So i am redeeming this guitar
Though i am wishing on a star
In every moment of my grief choosing you


If this is now the choice
Whose options break our hearts
The lesser evil all to clear

And if the things we believed as kids were true
