The fiction that we loved was debunked
And thrown overboard
Indulging in permissiveness
We'd grown freedom, violence in the same soil

The four elements (bringers of war)
Lauched the prophetic charge
Repayment for transgression
And Atlantis rose up from the dead
To overwhelm all other lands


The truth must out
This delusionnal need for a pattern
Sowed the seed of our dependence
(Of our craving)
In a field where human spirit could breed nothing
But the ferocious, poisonous bloom
Avidity

Then,

Drunk with the wines of future harvests
Betraying the present
Then, they fell from grace

"Mankind conquered the highest mountains
And remained seated in the mist of learning
All while wisdom lay, darkened by clouds, on the ground"
