Frozen tears
Midst a crystal winter
Blistering winds spoke of no home
Only a road to roam

She held them close
Her soul went numb
The houses drew her with their warmth
They did not care to comfort her
They could not see her pain at all

But in her mind, she was safe

The urge was strong, to her the light did not belong
