I had not seen light in days
Blinded by fear, even I had lost my way
The night was dark
It′s cruel hands gripping tightly around me like a rusty chain
The words of the shadows slowly sinking into my mind like a deep cut
My lungs, tired of breathing their toxic air
And even so
The broken compass in my bloody hands
Had not let me astray Because I had always believed that I carved my own path
And so I wondered
In this gray world, could there be color
Hidden in a dream just for me?
My inner beast roared loudly, unlocked
And from the darkest dusk, a bright warm light appeared
I opened my eyes, and stared at the mighty dawn
The sun was finally rising
