Gray Hawk Songtext

I wish I had someone to talk to
A corner bar I could walk to
Some reckless cause I could get lost to
I wish I had someone to talk to

I wish I was cool, I wish it would rain
I′d gather my tools and hop a train
Then I'd jump off down at River and Main
If I was cool and if it would rain

God made the mountains and God made the sea
And I know he′s wasted some good breaks on me
So many blessings in so many ways
But sometimes I still have one of these days

I wish I was young, but I'm glad I'm not
Back when I wasted some good love I got
Now I still get tangled up in what is not sometimes
I wish I was young, but I′m glad I′m not

A gray hawk sat on my fence for days
He was a long way out of his way
And I never got what he came to say
When that gray hawk sat on my fence for days

God made the mountains and God made the sea
And I know he's wasted some good breaks on me
So many blessings in so many ways
But sometimes I still have one of these days

I wish I had someone to talk to
A corner bar I could walk to
Some reckless cause I could get lost to
I wish I had someone to talk to
