I listen to my thoughts
And hear what they have to say
It gets so lonely
I become a shadow too
I wait for the sun to rise

Overthinking how
I always get things wrong
High expectations
Deciding on my own
What my future holds
And how I will get there too


I try to remember
What brought me here
It′s hard to focus on
The things that matter
Distractions take me away
And pull me under
I try to live each day
Like I can't see tomorrow

Identity through my art
Has been a saving grace
But it doesn′t solve it all
What is my purpose?
Where do I go from here?
Where do I belong?

I don't want to know
I need some guidance too
A voice to help me through
No god or preaching text
To tell me who I am
Just a word of positivity
