The Great Siege of Yleim Songtext

Raven wings
A blackened sky
Seven walls
Blood red ivy climbs
Thus uttered the sibyl
As she suddenly awoke
A tear she shed
In a glimpse of their doom

Proud as golden clouds
Across the burning light
Was riding Lod, Prince of Yleim
Cracking cries and rumbling roars
Were tearing the Blue apart
As echoes to his call

Rise! Sons of the blades of grass
Raised by the Stream of the Sacred Oath
All leaves must fall
Yet the crown will be reached by the light of the dawn

Red, the sound of raging steel
Resounding through the streets
A murder of crying feathers
Deepened the ravenous silence

Vast mowed down fields left behind
By those who had witnessed the scythe
Whose fire had been raised by the wind
Wouldn′t you know if only ashes could speak

Where art thou, my prince?
Fate blew out thy father's flame
And our people are torn apart

Hear my words my son
Their candles are shivering
And the storm is knocking on shuttered souls

See how sudden is this blinding light
At a glance wipes out the night
On his white steed rod back from hell
Lod the omen breaker

Sun! It′s such a pleasure, bright sun
At last may warmth kiss us

The King is dead, long live the King
By the light of the dawn
We bend our knees
