Logtown Songtext
von The Peasall Sisters

Way down south in Mississipp′
Was a place we used to live
But now it's gone, it is no more
Gone away from that Pearl River shore

Back and forth in a rockin′ chair
Smell camellias on the air
Mama's voice goodnight bade
And I drifted to sleep unafraid

Lazy days, warm summer nights
Look through trees to the star-filled sky
Down below the sparklin' wave
How we miss those Logtown days

Leaves quickly changed
Our whole world did, too
Made to leave our homes,
Leave ev′rything we knew
Ah, ah, ah ...

Now no one comes, and no one goes
And hardly anybody knows
Once a town that is no more
Stood upon that Pearl River shore

Once a town that is no more
Stood upon that Pearl River shore
