Swimming Pool Songtext
von The Hormonauts

Check it out, one, two, one
Hehehehehehe

I′ll travel three hundred miles, that's a day on a train
With a change halfway, that′s a hell of a pain
It's all so very worth it just to see you again
You know you've really taken over my brain
Won′t tell nobody, gonna switch off my phone
They won′t know where I am, or why I left on my own
And if they found out, they wouldn't take it so hard
You got a swimming pool in your backyard

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, what a beautiful day
Just a-swimming around in our own little personal bay
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you know I′m a fool
For a boozy little floozy in a swimming pool

There'll be nobody else, baby, just me and you
In that house out of town with an incredible view
And that bikini that I bought you will go so cute
So who cares if you don′t have a chute?
We'll be sipping Mai Tais or whatever your taste
Just sitting with the water up over your waist
As we remember how December was so awfully hard
In that swimming pool in your backyard

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, what a beautiful day
Just a-swimming around in our own little personal bay
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you know I′m a fool
For a boozy little floozy in a swimming pool
Alright!

Until the ice is all done and we've squeezed all the limes
Until our backyard Bahamas, it falls on hard times
We'll be showing the world what good living′s about
There ain′t no way we're getting out
Maybe after a week, which is way too soon
They′re gonna pull me from the water with skin like a prune
A beautiful suntan was hopelessly marred
By that swimming pool in your backyard

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, what a beautiful day
Just a-swimming around in our own little personal bay (Yeah!)
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you know I'm a fool
I′m getting boozy with a floozy in a swimming pool (Yeah, yeah!)
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, we're having such fun
We′ll be adoring and decoring underneath that hot summer sun
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you know I'm a fool
For a boozy little floozy in a swimming pool
