Polaroids Songtext

I got a story about a boy
I′m gonna put it in the papers
He's got a story about this girl
That flies through the air like a feather

He′s had a kind of a day in his life
He stands on a street in the city
Observing the folks passing by in the blink of an eye
His Polaroids look worse in black and white
So when he takes them out to dry
He paints her hair in red and gold

I got a story about a boy
I'm gonna put it in the papers
Translates the image of the perfect girl
And runs like a deer through the meadows

He stands on the street when the day is at an end
Sees her caressing his cheek
She sleeps on the sidewalk and dreams she is lying in his arms

His Polaroids look worse in black and white
So when he takes them out to dry
He paints her smiling as she flies towards the ocean
Like a bird, and as he's ripping off the edges
Her suit, he sings about her
Rise and fall into the sea
