He had made himself
Into a kinder man
But he could neither fabricate

The only antidote
For the poison set to sting his blood
In the hands of a
Barbarian destroyer

The beast said no and so
A little after midnight he
Was stopped forever with
No style, no dignity
All he had ever been
Gone slack and quiet now
Gave him rendition too
Hands over eyes and mouth
