Dreams Songtext
von Shay D

My mum sent me a quote the other day
And she said
If you want your dreams to come true
You have to first wake up
We gotta check some levels here

Shadow work to bring the lightness
Raised by the borough
How you questioning our guidance
Tight grips on pushbikes
Pedaling the night strip
Rapping on a park bench
33 10S it was timeless

Now we cruising
Gear into drive
Now I say I′m thriving

I don't wanna survive
Mmm

I′m just focused on my lessons
All these opps I've got us stressing
You can count your mula man
I'm counting all my blessings

Keep progressing
But we all know it feels like a battle
It′s so hard to trust anyone
′Cause you've been rattled
Man will chef with the same hand
That they lighting a candle
Mad to handle but it′s life
Nah I'm actually baffled

They say pull yourself together
When falling apart
Don′t even start

I'm good at acting when it′s hard

Becoming art

To say it's bliss, walk in the park
And keep a smile on my face
When it's breaking my heart

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can′t keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can′t keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now

Life in the midst of a type of dismiss
I'm tryna grip
Don′t need approval
I prove it all
That's my type of win

Silent I use my grin
Hiding the crying within
The guidance is right for a king
Dividing the crisis I′m in
Go where you go
But do you know where you came

I'm in a thunderstorm
But none of us can grow without rain
Or without pain

Sip my Brandy then I
Float into space
Working my dreams
When I′m sleeping we don't focus the same
So
Words to a wordsmith
Is pride to a man who's pride is all
I wanna build for my people
I got no time for fools

I wanna build for my future
Can you provide the tools
Once you step back and analyse
You realise it all
I realised it all
The older I grew

You need to focus on becoming
The best version of you
I close my curtains
Put my heart into these verses
Let my smile see my pain
Write it down and then I merge it to two
Woo

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can′t keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can′t keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now

Spit in the dark
'Cause the demons feel at home
When we spraying out our guts
′Cause we truly in our zone
In the studio it's mad
In the booth it′s you alone

And you're banging lady luck

But you never make her moan
So

Every night we sleepless
Sweating in a panic
And we blame it on the sky
And we blame it on planets
We know it′s cause we have to be
For the trauma in our sleep
So we can wake and face the day
Until we feeling free

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can't keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can't keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now

Dreams allowed
We chase them now
Can′t keep us down
We off the ground
What goes around
It comes around
We get it now
We get it now
