I spend most of my time thinking of what to say
And hopefully it goes my way
Stray from the course and I will not make it back
I′ll invest all of my time in that

I've given up on the public matters
I may be dumb or even scared
It′s passed the point of fighting chances
I don't even try anymore

Luck just happened to fall right on my back
Just once I'd like to earn the things that I lack
I′m not this person who could step up and say
"Hey, this is me. I think that I deserve a little extra pay"

I hear what everyone says that it′s a brand new age
And I still dream of the glory days
Back when we thought that life was full of mysteries
Now we've got all of the facts on these


I′ve given out what the public wanted
And changed the way that I wrote a song
Now it's all copies of copies
And I don′t even care anymore
I write over and over

"Hey, this is me. I am professional, and I am what you need"

A walking advertisement is all I see
That takes away the life and all meaning
