Cow Song Songtext

′I'm standing outside looking up at the sky.
Today the sky is wide and high,
I turn my face to feel the heat.
All the cows ever seem to do is eat.′

'It's nice to watch the way they chew.
I′m glad you brought me here with you.
Hanging on to the gate while it swings,
gives me a chance to think about things.′

'Hundreds and hundreds of big brown eyes,
Hundreds of tails swishing at the flies,
I see the way they look at you,
they don′t love you the way I do.'

′I pick up a rock, put it in my pocket,
all those eyelashes round all those eye sockets,
I think it's time to turn around and go.
I don′t like these cows when we're toe to toe.

'Later the angry sky goes red.
I can see it all from where I′m sitting on the bed,
Lighting busts the night and it rains everywhere,
The cows are getting wet but their still there.

"Hundreds and hundreds of big brown eyes,
Hundreds of tails swishing at the flies,
I see the way they look at you,
they don′t love you the way I do, I do.'

′It's nice to know that someone is there when you need ′em,
all you gotta do is tag 'em and feed ′em,
I'm gonna wear your ring all the time,
and me and your cows will get along just fine.

Always there never the same,
the sky is a girl who lives up to her name.
Turn your face, feel the heat!
All the cows will ever do is eat.'
