With no hair hanging in our face
The snow grass white blinding lights
We had magnitude eyes
You were wild and I was sweet
Someone cut my hair and they cut yours too
We woke up strangers


Plant your trees when they are young
The roots get tangled in the ground

The works just fine when they are small
They drink the sunlight in together
But as they grow upright

A mess of branches thick and sharp
They start to choke each other out
You can′t rip them apart
The roots locked in the dirt
But the sun can't cut through
It′s just the way that they grew
