Sammy left to go and end it all himself
I only noticed the next morning
When I couldn′t hear him snoring
I checked his bed and a pillow was his head
He left a note that read "I'm sorry
If you even care at all"

I don′t know what to feel
We used to joke about him often
But he never seemed to laugh
Is it my fault, now his body's limp and cold
If I knew that this would happen
I would've never joked at all


Sammy the words "I′m sorry"
Could never show the pain
If I make it out alive
I′ll never be the same
I will never forgive myself
I will never forget your name

I pity he who must tell his family
That little Sam's not coming back
He′s at the bottom of the sea
His body's cage
His body′s cage becomes a home
For fish of sorts
I guess that life is just a cycle
It's a cycle I cut short
