Words are sometimes like thunder
Counting seconds from the flash, echos travel so far
I have the best of intentions,
I care more than I should
Boundaries melt and fold on my own accord

I′ve been burning candles
While my wick whittles down
To an orange glow


When I truly need them,
Words become silver lead that slip
Between understanding and intent
I'm impulsive and I′m shy,
I watch thoughts glide out like reruns on late night TV
