Legend Songtext
von Obadiah Parker

Johnny was a cole man
He carried the earth underneath his nails
Johny was a sailor
He followed the stars and the wind in his sails
Johnny was a poet
He changed the world with his pen as a sword
Johnny was a preacher
When Johnny prayed he was heard by the Lord

No one had suspicions not even a thought
Oh but Johnny was hiding until Johnny was caught
Johnny was a Legend

Johnny was a doctor
He healed the sick and cured the vine
Johnny was a bluesman
The sound of his voice would make a grown man cry
Johnny was a lover
Who loved his woman 10 times a day
And when he loved her
He loved her like a lion went out of its cage

No one had suspicions not even a thought
Oh but Johnny was hiding until Johnny was caught
Johnny was a Legend

Johnny was a stranger in his own home
A lost little boy out on his own
And Johnny was a lion out on the run
He couldn′t tell a soul what he had done
And Johnny was a coward that never slept
He couldn't bear the secrets that he kept
But then he was a slave to the grows in head
The woman in the shadows fell on in his bed

Johnny was a Legend
