Bentro Songtext

Bentro Songtext
This album is for Ben.
I′m trying to live every day a bit more like you. I'm trying to be as patient as you, as generous, as
welcoming and as loving. I′m practising skating like I haven't since I was a teenager or since you
got the ramp out in lockdown. Every skate I do is for you.
You were always covered in polystyrene, or glue or some other stuff that didn't come off your
hands and you always had a spark of adventure in your eye. Thank you for lending us that spark,
for teaching us how to be and have more fun and that fun is actually something that can happen
at all times of day and night and the moments in between.
It′s painful to look at the sky because I see you now in sunsets and in pink clouds and in the
moon, and I hate that you′re so far away. My heart has broken in so many places I didn't know it
could break - I could really do with that glue now, that was always on your hands.
When I run out of words all that′s left is this feeling:
What a privilege to call you my brother, thank you for the adventure and for teaching me what it
means to be fully alive at all times.
