I don′t think this is what we imagined
Didn't think it would end like this
But the brightest moons cast the darkest shadows
And I got a little too bright for this

I know you liked the tides as they were
But I pulled you too close and you drowned
But no matter how hard I tried I keep pulling you further
When you tried to get out

Of endless commotion

I don't think this is what we predicted
'Cuz the forecast was clear when you tested the waters
But then, suddenly
Storm overtook me
Turns out that the forecast was wrong

Tried to follow along with the cycles
But every step ahead got me right back to square one
The waves got too high
Crashed right into the sky
Like they were trying to drown out the sun
