I visited a throwback
And I don′t want to go back
To the space where I live now
Cause it's where everything got plowed
You were sitting next to me
Hiding under the trees
The carving there was meant to say
You′ll still stay while you're away

I hope you don't forget me
As I′m walking through a memory
When I see you now I get unwanted jealousy
Cause I lost all of your empathy
Since you share it with people so far
While you do I just sleep in my car
I wish I never went and took it too far
It′s too late now, I'm stuck with scars


I remember the days were so bright
I shared you the poems I′d write
That's where I want to be
Relive all of our memories

We were just divided for fun
It was a challenge we should′ve won
Maybe we just needed to see it
Before we'd be defeated
I'm sorry I ghosted you
And gave you thoughts that stuck like glue
I′m sorry that I lead you on
And made you sit alone watching the dawn

That′s what I wish I'd hear
But not from the trick played by my ears
I′d wish I'd forget that whole year
But I can′t if I look in the mirror
