Don McPhee Songtext
von Maxïmo Park

Two men in a double bed
Shifting uncomfortably
Beneath the Virgin Mary
And the Sacred Heart

Developing fluid
Suspended in the air

It just worked out this way
Don had to leave
Like the soft snap of a shutter

Don wore a nautical cap
Maybe the grandkids got it
The qualifications
Can cost you dearly
The lessons get learned
And people even smile at funerals

Watersheds and snowfall
Took almost every chance

It just worked out this way
Don had to leave
Like the soft snap of a shutter
Don wore a nautical cap
Maybe the grandkids got it

My only history
Comes from the pictures I see
I′ve got the same memory
As anyone
