Happy Songtext

Happy Songtext
I know a man who quit his job
And lives in his basement
Because he thinks all he reads
On the internet is true
He thinks the Illuminati
Or the born-again Nazis
Or the 9/11 Jews
Will come for his head
And soon
And his phone causes cancer
So he never answers to his friends
And now they wonder if he′s still alive
He just sits there all day
With his gun pointed at the door
Waiting for his chance to survive
Oh it's such a shame
A bloody shame
I once knew a boy
′Cause we were friends for a while
He was twelve when he first did cocaine
I think he was looking for something more effective
Than his toys to get rid of the pain
My parents told me that I shouldn't hang around
With a kid like him
'Cause he would only bring me down
So I hugged him goodbye
And two years later I read in the paper
They found him dead on the dark side of town
Oh it′s such a shame
A bloody shame
′Cause people should be happy
I know this independent woman
Watching Doctor Oz reruns
And she's busy with her daily exercise
She′s waiting for the episode
Where he turns his face to the camera
And says: "death is a communist lie"
She gave up smoking
And walks to work every day
She sells vitamin pills from her garage
And every Tuesday
She discusses the Fukushima danger
With her lady friends at the local spa
Oh it's such a shame
A bloody shame
I heard some people think
We′re in control of our own lives
That we get what we deserve
I wish I could meet someone who thinks like that
I would put his girlfriend under water
Till he admits that he ain't so sure
We get born and we die
And in between we try to make some friends
And find some love
But we lay awake at night
Because we cannot understand that
At certain moments
Death is all we′re thinking of
Oh it's such a shame
A bloody shame
'Cause people should be happy
And lives in his basement
Because he thinks all he reads
On the internet is true
