The Protest Dance Songtext
von Less Than Three Kitties

Today will be a special day
So wake up boys and girls
We′re heading out into the streets
We're gonna change the world
Get out your paint, make your placard
Put on comfortable clothes
Bring along lots of sunblock for
The skin you leave exposed

We′ll make our voices heard
Don't miss this chance
We've got our snacks and water
And a map that shows our route
We′ll take care of each other when
The other side comes out

Everybody do the protest dance
Marching, chanting, holding signs
We know this is the way
Tear gas guns and billy clubs
Won′t silence us today

We took the streets today
And there are stories we can tell
It's back to work on Monday
Feeling good about ourselves

We made our voices heard
We took our chance
Everybody did the protest dance
