Birds Songtext

Why did I believe in what people told me
When I should not have bothered at all
It takes time to see that even though they′re older
It doesn't mean they know what′s right all the time

I see birds fly in the distance
It must be time for heading south
And I wonder if you'll see them
If they will pass above your house
In your southern town but
By then you will be in bed
And you'll never see them
As they fly above your head
As they know it′s time
For heading south again

Could you wait for me
′Cause I'll be coming ′round I
I'll be coming ′round in time
And I can't decide whether I should tell you
′Bout all the ways that I already tried

I see birds fly in the distance
And it feels good to be on my way
I like the company of luggage
As I think of what I'll say

When I will meet you
Oh it's good to be back south
And it′s good to see you
Did you see the birds last night
Heading south again
′Cause I thought about you

About you then
And I thought that maybe
You would be in bed
And that you wouldn't see them
Way above your head
