Optimist Songtext

Optimist Songtext
When it looks bad all the time, all the better
Had a lapse in thought so I grabbed a ladder
Crossed a rung and then I slip and take a fall
It′s fine, I'll do it all again
I took a step back, I never noticed it′s
Kaleidoscopic with the shifting focuses
Seems like a long ride running stop signs
Into dead ends
And I don't know if I would do that again
It starts to get old
It starts to get old
I start to get it
It starts to get old
It starts to get old
I start to get it
Pass a lot of time not really doing anything
Could do more but it's not where I′ve been lately
That′s alright, that's fine, I′ve got a ways to go now
I know just how to do it, I've played this game many times before
And I′m lucky just to try
I don't want to stay, god I′m so fucking sick of this and
I want to leave but I'm starting to feel a reaction
Pick a frame of mind just to help yourself get through it
Just like the last time I tried to be an optimist
And I don't know if I would do that again
It starts to get old
It starts to get old
I start to get it
It starts to get old
It starts to get old
I start to get it
You know I′m out here making sense of life
And I feel that fear like a cockroach creeping up
The architecture based on sticks and mud
And it′s by design
My mind feels like a dam as it's breaking
My mind is racing every day from thought to thought
I′m so transfixed on who I am and who I'm not
I′m rushing forward all the time, it's by design
My mind feels like a dam as it′s breaking
I often feel as if I made a mistake
Which makes me wonder if I'm gonna give when I break
But I shrug my shoulders, it's just the way it′s gotta be
Like a little lightbulb snap back in the way where I won′t
See it again, nooo
Like a little lightbulb
Like a little lighbulb
And that's the last time I try to be an optimist
Had a lapse in thought so I grabbed a ladder
Crossed a rung and then I slip and take a fall
It′s fine, I'll do it all again
I took a step back, I never noticed it′s

It starts to get old
