There′s a man I meet each and every morning
In the mirror staring back at me
I've seen him ′round. He's quite a handsome devil
Good as gold? Definitely
Lately he's been speaking of a lady
With a mini modicum of doubt
But verifying his love′s reciprocated
Is something that he hasn′t figured out

Like a good friend, I should tell him:
"Call her up and see if she agrees
Fan the fire. Aim a little higher."
And he will if he's anything like me


Hey! Look at that. I think he might be listening
It′s a different glimmer in his eyes
If there's a chance that he′ll put his heart in to it
There's a chance he′ll take us by surprise
What's keeping him from telling her he loves her?
I get the feeling he already knows
He needs a nudge in the right direction
And that'll be the only way to go
