They say patience is a virtue
But I can′t wait to be with you at the end sometimes
I wonder when I die if I can look back at my life will I be satisfied

Look at this mess I've made, just like a pig to wallow in
I get up just to fall back down, surprised to feel the ground again
But I think I knew all along, that this would be my fate
I ignored the love and chose the curse, to get me where I am today

So far in this life I stand accused
Of biting more off than a man can chew
But I hope you know I tried to love
And live so people would not see in me but you
It′s not easy hoping when all I know is feeling and I feel alone
But you said you'd never let me be alone
When temptation comes around and I dunno how I can turn to you


Look at this mess I've made, just like a pig to wallow in

Because life is a competition
Our country just needs to get better

I don′t see any constitutions
It just says love your neighbor and God
Because He is the only solution
