Darkness envelops the cities
A silent shadow marches unseen
While the stench of death lurks in the night

I wander among the living dead
To show them the path of redemption
I am known as the Medici
I am the one who cures the sick

Through nightmares I try to find my rest
Screams call my name at night, press tight upon my chest
Thousands of faces, miserable places, pleading for my help

As I get to them in haste
A withering soul lies on the ground
Darkness is coming this way
Bringing despair and decay

Has the world become so horrid and perverse?
That salvation comes in unrelated pestilence
