Hecksher Field #3 Songtext
von Howth

Heckscher field number three
Is closed forever
Or at least the winter months
I once saw a game on that field

I sat in the back
On the sun warmed bleachers
Trading quips with the other girls
Whose men played on that field

You rotate your bat
Three times behind your shoulder
And when it came time to swing
You sent that ball sailing
And your body was moving
And your team, it was cheering
And your face, it was smiling
And for once you were winning

Heckscher field number three
Isn′t closed forever
And when the summer comes
Let us play a game on that field
