I tread the trail of tragedy, traveled on alone
When I beheld the harried hall around a hollow throne
Then waded I through welkin skies, woeful, wandering on
Deprived of dreams of drighten seen, adrift before the dawn
And slowly as I slip into a sightless weary sleep
Cautious, I now cast aside the dogmas that I once did keep

Silence and darkness around a formless place
The cold desolation adrift through time and space
Countless points of starlight through black of night did break
The giant eyes open the universe awakes

In my dreams
Amid the astral plane
The voice of the cosmos
Is calling me by name

Behold the light of a thousand ages past
And all that will ever be within my mortal grasp
Upon the rays, my lucid form ascends
Beyond this reality my conscious mind transcends

I walked the desert they call peace
To find the answers men would seek
To put their weary minds at ease
And all the gods of legends old
From countless myths the elders told
No power over man can hold
And empty threats of kingdom come
The will of wrathful gods be done
Are nothing new beneath the sun
Final question no more lies
What is the meaning of our lives
If there′s no thrones up there in the sky

For this no answer can be found
(To satisfy for all mankind)
And to no dogmas shall be bound
(No righteous ties or holy lies)
By my hand my world defined
(The hand of time shall now unwind)
To carve my fate to my design

You and I entwined
Forever we're interconnected
