Elder Things Songtext
von Hälberwolf

Pondering the meaning of it all we don′t see how
Insignificant we are in this universe
Some things eons old lurk just beyond our perception
Unconcerned with the strife of mankind
A trip across the sea we approach regretfully
The temple of Sharam-qi to find these monstrosities
Slept for so long peacefully undetected secretly
Woken by us sheepishly now we know intimately

Elder things

But what we did not know was that there was so much more
In store for the world we hardly know
These ancient immortal beings were not our
concern for there was a much more incipient evil at play
They created an entity with great power and mobility
Intended to be helpfully at work as peasantry
Too strong for their makers' will they assembled to rebel
At war many times fell long before history′s tale

Elder things

Shoggoth!
