Getting Higher Songtext
von Frankie Bird

Was it timing?
Stars aligning?
I don′t think that we'll ever know
Was it by design?
Destiny crossing lines?
Some intangible double rainbow

When I close my eyes
And I think of times
All the pieces fell into place
Comes by no surprise
When things changed that night
It was nothing short of fate

I′m getting higher
Walking on fire
Letting the cosmos do their thing
Yeah, I'm getting higher
Burning desire
The universe never felt so sweet

Did a lightening bolt strike twice?
Is it Karma from a past life?
No, I'll never know, never know, never know
But I′m getting higher
Holding on tighter
Knowing it all led me to here

I believe in kismet
Strange coincidences
Serendipitous place and time
Like finding four leaf clovers
Pulling aces over and over
It′s like I've known you my whole life

When I close my eyes
And I think of times
All the dots connected for me
Comes by no surprise
That you′re in my life
It was always meant to be

I'm getting higher
Walking on fire
Letting the cosmos do their thing
Yeah, I′m getting higher
Burning desire
The universe never felt so sweet

Did a lightening bolt strike twice?
Is it Karma from a past life?
No, I'll never know, never know, never know
But I′m getting higher
Holding on tighter
Knowing it all led me to here

Every bridge that burned
Every wound that hurt
Every bruise and scar and ache
Now just all confirms
They were lessons learned
And something I'd never trade

'Cause I′m getting higher
Walking on fire
Holding on tighter
Yeah, I′m growing higher

I'm getting higher
Walking on fire
Letting the cosmos do their thing (cosmos do their thing)
Yeah, I′m getting higher
Burning desire
The universe never felt so sweet

Did a lightening bolt strike twice?
Is it Karma from a past life?
No, I'll never know, never know, never know
But I′m getting higher
Holding on tighter
Knowing it all led me to here

It all led me to right here, here
It all led me to right here
With you right here
