My Lagan love Songtext
von Finbar Wright
My Lagan love Songtext
Where Lagan stream sings lullaby
There blows a lily fair
The twilight gleam is in her eye
The night is on her hair
And like a lovesick land she
She hath my heart in thrall
No life I own, not liberty
For love is lord of all
And often when the beetle′s horn
Hath lulled the eve to sleep
I steal unto her sheeling lawn
And through the dooring creep
There on the cricket-singing stone
She stirs the bough of wood
And hums in sad sweet undertone
The song of heart's desire
There blows a lily fair
The twilight gleam is in her eye
The night is on her hair
She hath my heart in thrall
No life I own, not liberty
For love is lord of all
And often when the beetle′s horn
Hath lulled the eve to sleep
I steal unto her sheeling lawn
And through the dooring creep
There on the cricket-singing stone
She stirs the bough of wood
And hums in sad sweet undertone
The song of heart's desire
