Old Songtext
von elijah woods

I close my eyes and you′re 22
Freckles and daisies, my August bloom
The years they keep coming, somehow I know
That you and I will never get old

I close my eyes and you're 23
Move out of Toronto and in with me
August to autumn and then it snows
But you and I will never get old

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We′ll never get old
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We'll never get old

I close my eyes and you're 24
Bleaching your hair on your parents′ porch
A good leather jacket, a Diet Coke
Yeah, you and I will never get old

I close my eyes and you′re 25
Paige, Arizona, you bowl a strike
Still the same punchlines, the same jokes
But you and I will never get old

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We'll never get old
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We′ll never get old

I know that I want every version of you
Eyes closed and I can't picture me without you
No, no, no I don′t want no body else at all,
Nobody else at all, so

I close my eyes and we're 86
Freckles and daisies on weathered skin
Our love′s a garden, my dolly rose
Yeah, you and I will never get old
