The soul cairn shines
In relevance of the sun
Sacred cries
From the elder one
A white hot retelling
Of the tragedy of dying light
In the wake of the cull

The sun lay still in our palms
Holding the warmth
In darkness we fall
Worn scriptures of hallowed tales
Forgotten whispers left in the pale
