Everybody′s talkin' ′bout a little old elf
Livin' at the cold North Pole
He's a big help to old Santa Claus
They call him little Saint Joe
On Christmas Eve he can be found
Trottin′ through the snow

Roungin′ up the reindeer, hitchin' up the sleigh
And shinin′ little Rudolph's nose

Saint Joe, Santa′s little shepherd
Keepin' an eye on the flock
He never gets mad ′cause all the other elves
Are workin' in the big old workshop
Slippin' and slidin′ and a-jumpin′ for joy
The only job he knows

All the other kiddies on Santa's big list
Sleepy little eyes all aglow
