Katherine Songtext
von David Hodges

I thought that you should know
Before you came to be
An angel from above
Found its way to me

And whispered in my ear
A simple melody
A poem about love
Of a girl that i would meet

And I knew that my life would change
With a love I could call my own
I thought that you should know

The first night that we met
We talked until the sun
Had almost come again
Oh, I was so caught up

In how a passing smile
Could bring me to my knees
Her laughter was like wine
And her words, the truest thing

And I knew that my life would change
And each day she′d feel more like home
I thought that you should know

And on the day that you were born
I saw a love begin to grow
A part that wasn't there before
But the part of her that I love most

I thought that you should know
Love′s not a fairytale
Some days you'll feel alone
And you'll forget just why you fell

But there′s one truth that still remains
Love can take broken things and make them whole
I thought that you should know
I thought that you should know
