Mommy's Been Drinking Songtext
von Cosmo Jarvis

Mummy′s been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Drinking again
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Go tell a friend

Now I can see every one of your flaws
All of the things I could not see before
You come in stinking and slurring your words
You don′t stop talking and ironing shirts
Where did you put your bottle this time?
Better be somewhere I won't find
Cause you know it′s going down the sink
Even your sister says you shouldn't drink
Used to depend on the person I see
Well look at you now, you can′t even speak
And then you tell me to go fix my life
Well what about yours, you can't even write
And you bitch about how you don′t get work done
It's not my fault, it's because you′re drunk
So you′re whining to me about how hard it is
Being a single mother and raising two kids
Well shut the fuck up, I don't care anymore
I can′t turn back to when it was before
And I know you had your fair share of abuse
But that's in the past so you′ve got no excuse

Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Drinking again
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Go tell a friend

Acting like a person I hate
Just go to bed now is all I say
Don't talk to me when you are this way
It just makes me sick and I′ll lose it one day
And I'll do something I swear that I will regret
So stop it okay, and never forget
The way that it was when we were all fine
Just sort out your head and I′ll fix mine
It's nobody′s fault so don't try and blame
Anyone else for all of your pain
No one can help you except for yourself
So put down the glass and get some fucking help
Or a boyfriend, I don't know, whatever you need
How about a better son or some friends maybe?
Once again I′m sorry for my part in this
At least you learned a lesson though, children are shit
They take your money and kill your dreams
They cry when you don′t buy them ice creams
They age you and they make you shout
But sober thoughts will help you out

Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Drinking again
Mummy′s been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Go tell a friend

Mummy's been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Drinking again
Mummy′s been drinking
Mummy's been drinking
Mummy′s been drinking
Go tell a friend
